"27 out of the 36 states cannot pay salaries. This is a disgrace to Nigeria. It is a disgrace up till now that most of the states cannot pay salaries.
What happened to all we have gotten over the years? We look up and down, left, right and centre, what have we saved? There was nothing because we developed a consumption culture that we were not supposed to develop. Most of your colleagues that have left service, I doubt if they are getting benefits. MAHEEDA SPEAKS ABOUT SEX AND WHAT SHE LIKES MOST ABOUT IT

l
When you think of Maheeda, what comes to your mind won’t be her songs but nude selfies, raunchy videos and her “bad girl” lifestyle. The controversial Nigerian singer revealed via her new YouTube channel, her sexual preferences and how she loves to be handled sexually.

“People always ask me about how I like sex. For me, sex is to be enjoyed and it depends on my mood. Sometimes, I just want it rough and when I say rough I don’t mean violent, I mean hard. Sometimes I just want it in a gentle way.

Sometimes, I have energy and I just want to use the energy to satisfy my man. Most African men think that the harder they do it, the better they are. I like to talk a lot before having sex so as to know my partner’s preference. If you want the same thing that I want then you are a good match.

I hate dry sex, when a man is doing what I am not feeling. I like my sex enjoyable, sometimes fast, and sometimes slow.

Foreplay is just so important to me. For me, size doesn’t matter but of course not too tiny. What matters to me is that he knows how to use the tool.” She also advises individuals who are ignorant when it comes to sex.

“Go online, watch some porn, sometimes porn is educative. If you don’t know how to do it there is no shame in it.”

5 NIGERIAN FOODS TO AVOID LATE AT NIGHT

If you have had an extremely busy and long day, and you are finally free to eat at about 11pm, maybe, of course, it makes sense that you would want to gulp down a heavy meal to assuage the persisting hunger no matter how late in the day it is. Eating late at night is not a complete no-no as it is important to eat when you are hungry; you just have to be smart about it.

Contrary to popular belief, eating late at night does not necessarily make you add weight nor does it have any negative health implications. Eating the wrong foods with the wrong number of calories is what brings on all the extra weight and most times disrupts your sleep.

Are you visiting or currently living in Nigeria and you have the habit of eating late at night? Rather than just opting for the nearest, tastiest-looking Nigerian food, take a look at a list of 5 Nigerian foods to avoid late at night.

Amala and Ewedu :

A food famous in the western region of the country, Amala and Ewedu is almost a staple on the menu of most Nigerian restaurants. While the soup is made with vegetable and spices, Amala is made with yam powder. They both form an appetizing combo, however, can be unfavorable to your stomach when consumed late in the night. Although the meal digests very easily, compared to other yam-based meals, it is urine inducing and can bring a lot of interruptions and discomfort to your sleep.

Pepper soup :

A favorite Nigerian meal usually served with rice or yam as a side, pepper soup seems to be the perfect meal for times you are hungry at night as it is perceived as a light meal, but you may actually want to step away from it when you are craving something to eat late at night. The pepper soup contains certain spices and peppers that may upset your stomach and chemicals that can also stimulate your senses, making it hard to fall asleep.

Agege Bread :

This would be easy to buy off of the streets if you getting back late and you know you would not have the energy to cook or microwave any major meal when you get home because it would be too late already. While Agege bread would be satisfying when eaten with tea, mayonnaise or butter late in the night, it contains a lot of carbohydrate and sugar that spikes up your blood sugar levels, causing your energy levels to spike and plummet, disrupting your sleep in the process. There is also a chance that you will likely wake up starving a few hours later or in the morning due to the overproduction of insulin the sugar triggers.

Fries (yam, potatoes, akara) :

If you have had dinner by 7 pm and you are still awake by 12pm and you are hungry, you may want to indulge in light finger food. The go to would be fried yam, plantain , potatoes or even akara. While this food may seem like a light meal, they actually are not. They are greasy heavy foods! They weigh on your stomach and take a while to digest, leaving you feeling tired and sluggish in the morning. Also, they do more harm to your sleep than good. You may have to deal with stomach pains, cramps, abdominal bloating, heartburn, and acid reflux, resulting in poor sleep quality.

Ewa Agoyin :

A meal made of beans paired with a spicy sauce made with Palm oil and dried crushed chilies, Ewa agoyin is very tasty but a horrible option for late-night snacking or eating. Not only can it trigger heartburn, as well as upset your stomach, it can totally sabotage a day of good eating and actually keep you from going to sleep.

'We have the right to freeze Fayose's account' - EFCC says

The spokesperson of EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, says the agency has the right to freeze the accounts of Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, even though he enjoys immunity under the constitution.

Speaking with Vanguard, Uwujaren said the immunity being enjoyed by any governor doesn't prevent the commission from investigating suspicious movements of money into his accounts.

“Immunity does not prevent EFCC from investigating suspicious accounts of those enjoying immunity and Fayose cannot be an exception, “he said Fayose's account with Zenith bank was frozen by EFCC today June 20th.

EFCC blocks Fayose's account...governor kicks

Read the statement below...
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has blocked the account of Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, he operates with Zenith Bank Plc. The governor, who spoke to reporters in Ado-Ekiti on Monday at the premises of the bank, said he had information that the accounts of some of his associates were also affected.
According to a press release by the Chief Preds Secretary to the Governor, Mr Idowu Adelusi, the governor accused some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a prominent lawyer from the state of being the brains behind the action.

While condemning the action, Fayose said under the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, especially th‎e provisions contained in Section 308, he enjoys immunity and wondered why his personal properties should become the targets of Federal Government and it's agencies under the guise of fighting corruption.

"Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution gives me immunity just like the President. I wouldn't know why these people are intolerant of others and in a haste. Let them wait till 2018 when I will end my tenure for them to do their investigation.

The other time the EFCC accused me of embezzling N1.2 billion poultry project fund, I was the one who voluntarily reported myself to the EFCC.

"It was ‎when I got a hint of their move that I wrote a cheque to withdraw some money from the account and I came myself. I was denied access to the account as I was told the EFCC has placed restriction on it. That is executive rascality taken too far. Even when I had case with EFCC my properties were not affected.

"If they say they are investigating money spent on election, does it mean it is only Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that spent money on election? A lot of people and groups supported my campaign then. Where did APC and their leaders get the money they spent on 2015 general elections from? Now it is only in PDP that they find thieves, to them there are no theieves in the APC.

"A lot of petitions were written against former Governor Kayode Fayemi and the EFCC has not asked him a question up till now. The diversion of N850 million fund meant for Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board is there and nobody is asking Fayemi questions.

"Even the President cannot claim to be an angel. The estate he built in Abuja is known to us. His wife was indicted over the Halliburton Scandal. When that American, Jefferson, was being sentenced, the President's wife was mentioned as having wired $170,000 to Jefferson. Her name was on page 25 of the sentencing of Jefferson. We can serialize the judgment for people to see and read. "We will not allow this and we will defend our rights within the law of the land. Those who th‎ink they can silence me are mistaken. I am a person who is not perturbed by things like this. Let them wait till 2018 when I will finish my term and I will be the one to go and meet them. I won't run away and let them investigate the whole world, I have nothing to hide or fear," he said.

Fayose said he would challenge the action appropriately.

NAIRA NOW AT 250 AGAINST THE US DOLLAR

The naira plunged against the US dollar on Monday after Nigeria’s government scrapped its fixed exchange rate and allowed market forces to determine the currency’s value.

“Trading started at 9:00 am (0800 GMT) this morning. All the 24 commercial banks are participating. The offer is 249 to 265 naira to the dollar,” one forex trader told AFP.

At 1000 GMT, the naira was quoted at 262.50 against the dollar but the trader, who asked to remain anonymous, said supply and demand were still in the process of being matched.

“All the bids will be put on the table and the rate will based on the offers,” the trader said.

Analysts say the naira may settle in at around 250, compared with 350 to the greenback on the black market.

Nigeria had pegged the naira to the dollar at 197-199 since March 2015, even as other oil exporters have let their currencies devalue in the wake of plunging global crude prices.

President Muhammadu Buhari has previously said he would not “kill the naira” by letting it devalue.

But central bank governor Godwin Emefiele said last week the currency market would now be “purely market driven” as the country grapples with spiralling inflation, slowing growth, the weakening naira and foreign exchange shortages.
